How to play Pyramid Solitaire

In Pyramid you remove cards from a triangular pyramid of 28 cards by pairing them to sum to 13 (Ace = 1, Jack = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13). Kings remove alone. A card in the pyramid can only be played once no other card overlaps it from below. The stock holds 24 more cards to draw through.

The rules in short

28 cards form a 7-row pyramid, all face-up. The other 24 cards are the face-down stock.
A pyramid card is playable when no other card in a lower row overlaps it.
Pair two cards whose ranks sum to 13 to remove them both. Suit and color do not matter.
A King (rank 13) removes alone — click it without selecting a partner.
Click the stock to turn one card at a time onto the waste. The top waste card is always playable.
When the stock runs out, click it to recycle the waste. You can recycle as many times as you like.

Tips

Uncover the middle rows of the pyramid first; cards blocked by many others are hardest to reach.
Avoid pairing two pyramid cards when one of them is also needed to remove a stock card later.
Plan around the Queens: each Queen needs a specific Ace, and both must be accessible at the same time.

Can I pair a pyramid card with a waste card?

Yes. Any uncovered pyramid card can be paired with the top waste card if they sum to 13.

Can I go through the stock more than once?

Yes. The stock can be recycled as many times as you need.

What pairs sum to 13?

A+Q, 2+J, 3+10, 4+9, 5+8, 6+7. Kings (13) remove alone.
