How to play Spider Solitaire (4 suits)

Four-suit Spider is the full, classic Spider challenge: two complete 52-card decks with all four suits. A group of cards only moves together when it is a descending run of the same suit, which sharply limits your options. You win by clearing all eight King-to-Ace same-suit runs from the ten columns.

The rules in short

  1. 104 cards (two full decks) dealt into ten columns: four of six, six of five. Only the top card of each column starts face-up.
  2. Place any single card on top of any card one rank higher, regardless of suit.
  3. A group of cards moves together only if every card is the same suit and they form a descending sequence.
  4. Click Deal 10 to add one card to every column. You cannot deal while any column is empty.
  5. A complete King-to-Ace same-suit run (13 cards) is removed automatically. Clear all eight to win.

Tips

Questions

Why can't I move several cards together even when they are in the right order?

The moving group must be a same-suit descending run. A mixed-suit sequence in the right order is not movable as a group.

Why can't I deal from the stock?

At least one column is empty. Fill every column before dealing.

Is 4-suit Spider much harder than 2-suit?

Yes. With four suits, far fewer multi-card moves are available, and building a clean same-suit run across a full column is rare.
